Reconnecting ribbon cables securely

My ps2 cd door jammed, so I took the cover off, and in the process of doing that the ribbon cable came out. In the process of trying to get that reconnected, two other ribbon cables came out. I know where the go, I just can't seem to get them to go into the slots securely enough. Can any one help a do it yourselfer who needs much help?

Not having worked with the device mentioned so cannot advise on the actual connections it uses, however in general terms ribbon cables do not usually become slack unless having been improperly inserted into their sockets, a danger thats always there being that if undue and uneven force has been used one (or more) of the foil ends can double back on itself, this being quite difficult to correct although superglue works really well for this application, provided of course that the ribbon is not flexed any. Once a ribbon cable of the non-socket ended variety is taken out of its socket its always best to smear a little petroleum jelly over the end before attempting to reinsert it again, as it makes it far in a way easier to slide it back into its holder without damaging it, and although the initial stage of inserting it can give the impression of it being a bit slack this is usually because its not been pushed in far enough, the lubricated end making it a far easier to push home.
