external speakers work only when end call is pushed

My 3303 system external speakers work only when you hold in the end call button. It Just started doing this. You should not have to hold the button. You should just push end call and and the sound comes back - any ideas?

Don't really know the system that well, but are you sure that either the master or the system volume controls haven't accidentally became mal-adjusted? as the master should be set to being fully advanced and the system one initially set at about one third advanced then higher later if necessary. However you should really check all settings on the various units.
