Hi there! I know it's been awhile since you posted the issue you were having with your JVC camcorder getting stuck in a safegaurd mode, but I was wondering if what you did ever truely fixed the issue. I am receiving the same E04 error as well as the error to clean the head cassette, but evertime, it always goes back to the error. I'm ready to junk it and go buy a sony. Any update you may have would be great. Thanks!
