Although you fail to mention what camcorder you are referring to, assuming its a JVC this is a warning that the cassette take up spindle is not turning properly so try using another cassette as the one you presently have could be sticking. If this doesnt cure the problem there is nothing you can do as the mechanism will require inspection.
