HomeSolution for stuck camcorder tape I was having a problem getting my 8mm tape to eject from the camcorder and after much internet searching I finally found a simple solution that worked. Try this before messing with opening the camcorder up and fiddling with parts. When I'd slide the eject button over to eject my tape it would try to eject but then just stop barely even open. Hitting the eject button again did nothing and I couldn't manually get the door to close back into place or open. I'd disconnect the battery, wait a few minutes and then re-connect the battery and the tape door would positioin itself back to closed leaving me to believe it was going to work. But trying to eject again just produced the same problem. The door tries to open but before it gets very far nothing. So here's what I did. I disconnected the battery, waited a few minutes then re-connected it to get the door closed the way it's supposed to be. Then I disconnected the battery again, waited a few minutes but this time when I reconnected the battery 'at the same time' I held the eject button on. This worked like a charm! As soon as the battery snapped into place the tape door opened and ejected my tape exactly how it's supposed to....:) For some reason holding that eject button over at the same time you're re-connecting the battery did the trick for me. Hope this helps someone else before they attempt to do unnecessary surgery...;)
