The TV keeps turning off and then the lamp and power lights blink simultaneously, but there is no message that the bulb needs to be replaced.

I have a 56 inch JVC projection TV that is about a year old. It was a floor model I bought from FRY's so this could be a bulb issue. After about 30 seconds to 3 minutes of the TV being turned on it shuts off. The lamp and power light then blink simultaneously. The picture does not seem to have dulled although a friend mentioned he thought the picture had dulles some. Do I need to buy a replacement bulb or call a repairman? Thanks in advance. Brendan
