Error codes

I just tested a guaranteed-working Sony UVW 1200 BetacamSP player that I bought recently on an auction site with 4 known-to-be-good tape cassettes. The two smaller cassettes both gave the error message 21-1C1 and the two larger cassettes both gave the error message O2-A55. Where can I find a reference for error messages?
