I have a sony 900HX and it don´t recognize any dvd. Here in Portugal, sony agents, told me that it is impossible to repair it because there is no drive available.
I read here that you made some modifications and made the DVD work.

Dear PAUL As I was browzing on the google for repairing my Sony RDR GX300, I found your your information on PECHORN'S SITE. Please can you send me the modifications required to replace my DVD DW-U15A. Here in Malta I can buy a DVD+R/W for desktop computers. My fault is that only Music DVD & CD's can read other DVD films or my movie says DISC ERROR. I will appriciate if you can help me. Best Regards Charles Tortell
