I am trying to connect my camera to my PC in order to view and edit my videos, and hopefully transfer them to DvDs. Unfortunately, my computer is not recognizing the camera when I plug in the USB cable. I installed both the G.726 Decoder and photo navigator from the disc that came with the camera, and have tried going through my PC's "add hardware" program in the control panel, but nothing happens or is even recognized. When I right-clicked and explored the software disc, and tried to manually install the USB mass storage class driver, the install process comes up, the said "windows 98 only" and immediately shuts down. I assume this is the problem, but am I now out of luck because I have XP? I am really stuck, so hopefully you can help. The model number is GR-D270U.
