lost manual, can't figure out how to auto program stations

When I hit 'menu', the second item is "program channels", but I can't get the cursor down there. Help! Most TV's you hit either + or - to move to the item you want, but all I get is video adjustments. This is a TV that has recently been 'reinstated' for my Mother. I'd appreciate any help. I can't find a manual online for this model.
