My Sony Mavica MVC-350 disccam writes directly to the small 156MB CD-RW. I have also used some 210MB CD-R discs. I also have experience with the FD-100 Memstick/floppy camera. I am wondering if the disc can be salvaged in the same manner as memory sticks (not by bending it ). I have a stack of C:1301 error discs. I have noticed this mainly occurs on a disc that becomes full. I have never had the problem on a disc less than 90% full. My suspicion is that as a disc approaches becoming full incoming image data commences to overwrite the master file table (MFT).
I have developed the habit of never letting the battery go dead when writing to disc, never trying to squeeze one more shot or video onto the end of a disc.
I know that many of the in camera manipulation fearures such as mark for print or resize rely on available (memory) disc space to execute properly.
As a rule I now only fill the disc to 85%-90%capacity and recharge the battery when it has reached the 5 minute mark.
I have not had any problems since developing these new habits.
