JVC trouble shooting

Stereo comes on then goes right back off. When you turn the JVC MX-KB30 Stereo on, it says welcome and suddenly after a few seconds it says goodbye, and cuts off. I have unplugged, but no go. It simply won't stay on for more than a few seconds before shutting off. I'm out of ideas.
