Transferring from Camera to Computer

I have always been able to transfer pictures from my camcorder to my computer, but now I am getting a message that I cannot connect to the computer that the device is no longer there or it does not recogonize my camera in Digital Photo Navigator. Can you please tell me if I lost the driver and where I can download it again. Thank you
