My Sony PS-X65 arm just quit working after years of service

My X65 Sony table after years of reliable service just one day stopped working as far as the lowering of the arm is concerned. The other functions are still working, BUT, I do have to put more than the usual pressure on each function button to get reaction. Any ideas out there? Also, does anyone have an arm rest and genuine headshell for this deck?
