Home | Previous messageOkay, I have contacted JVC via telephone, and the representative told me that the CCD Replacement Program has been extended for another 6 months, until June 30, 2009. He said that the service center may have been closed the day after Christmas, but it is open now. He was polite and professional, and assured me that delivery of the unit would be received at the service center shortly.

I am sure many people will be pleased to read that update as the lens cap image sensor problem (CCD) is much more widespread than JVC cares to admit to and it affects quite a range of camcorder models all over the English (and a few other) speaking countries of the world. |
