Sony Wega Trinitron failure

I pretty much have the same problem that most of you have. Came home today (12/5/08)pressed the power button on my 36 inch SONY trinitron and heard a noise but no picture or sound came out. The red l.e.d flashing light is the only thing that i see. I've had the T.V a good 4 years now. I think its terrible that sony charges so much for a product they dont stand behind. I was under the impression that sony was top of the line. Wish id done a lil more research before i spent $1500 bucks on the T.V. Really hope Sony stands up and does something about this.
