White screen on Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T70

Does the "tapping on the Cyber-shot emblem" work for the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T70 like it works for the DSC-S40? I unfortunately do not have the camera in front of me to test. The camera has never been dropped. When I touch the screen, it makes sounds and reacts as if nothing were wrong; however the screen is white. It takes pictures fine and pics can be retrieved when connecting card to computer. I have a feeling the screen needs to be replaced. Any assistance would be great!
