Sony does not honor it's warranty
I purchased a 50 inch sony rear projection tv in March 2006. In March 2007 I purchased Sony's extended service plan for $458.98 and in October 2008 the tv quit working. I contacted te extended service plan people and they sent a repairman out. He replaced the lamp which fixed the problem, however, sony refused to pay for lamp claiming it was not covered. The limitation they sited is under the computer section of the warranty. In other words, televisions and computers are covered under the same warranty and they flip back and forth in the contract as to what they will or will not cover. I will never purchase another SONY product.
