I fixed it!!!!

So, I was reading all about soldering and whatnot. I was getting ready to do it, when I saw a can of electrical cleaner I got from Radio Shack a fe months ago. I decided to try cleaning the little clear plastic rod with the V notch in it and the dew sensor where the soldering was to take place. Sprayed the Q-tip with the cleaner and went to town. Powered up and VOILA!!! it works again. We'll see how long it lasts, but for now I will just throw the can in my camera bag and start filming again!! thanks for all the research everyone!!
