Disconnecting the external battery power (if thats what you are meaning) has no effect on this problem, however doing the same on the internal back up battery can in certain cases help, but in general this is only a short term measure and disabling of the actual sensor is the only answer to the problem. After carrying out this procedure care must always be taken to ensure that the camcorder is never exposed to situations where condensation can develop, like using in a cold outdoor atmosphere then immediately trying to use the device straight away indoors without leaving about an hour for the camcorder to adjust to the heated room.
