jvc gr-d53as display went bed

jvc camcorder

hi,i have jvc gr-d53as,and it is someting wrong with display light.it began tu go darker little by little,and now it is black.you can see that picture is there,but barely.what is the problem?

  If the picture is still seen OK on the viewfinder, then it could be that the LCD back-light has failed, that is taking it that "everything" looks dark on the LCD.
