Unfortunately there is nothing you can really do to rectify this problem, as the fault can range from a defective image sensor (CCD) to a somewhat more serious PCB defect. If you haven't had this for long or alternatively just had the guarantee expire I would contact JVC customer services, as they "may" decide on a goodwill repair, an action thats not exactly unknown to occur.
