Help! I cannot successfully wire new components to existing wiring.

I purchased a home that was built in 78' and have purchased replacement components that serve the new IM-3303. How do I know if I am making the proper connections? I have an exterior door intercom with doorbell, 2 interior speaker/intercom and 2 interior ceiling speakers.
