Re: jvc gr-d32u unit in safe mode

JB38 Posted Aug 28, 2008, in response to:jeff donahue

Snag is that this warning can be caused by various different things, these from condensation (warning should be on LCD though!) to an actual mechanism fault. As an initial test, with the aid of a hair-drier on its cool or cold setting try blowing air into the left hand side of the mechanism via the open tape loading door, then wait an hour before attempting to try the device. Note:- open the loading door then take the battery out whilst carrying out this operation, as if you dont the mechanism might try to operate before the fault memory has released the mechanism starting the problem all over again. (only applies if condensation is the culprit!) Are any other warnings seen on the LCD?
