JVCTV-MODEL AV32D303

DAN P. Posted Aug 25, 2008

NO POWER BLINKING RED TIMER LIGHT

TV WON'T POWER UP, LOOKED FOR C926 BUT NOT THERE. ONLY C933 C935 C938. C935 IS ONLY ONE TO HAVE THE POSITIVE MARKED ON THE BOTTOM OF PCB. WHICH ONE IS IT THAT NEEDS REPLACING?

I have an AV 27F802, which also doesn't have a C926. The power circuit looks the same as the other chassis, so I looked at the parts list and found two capacitors in the same area as C926 on the other chassis with the rating of 1000uF and 16V. On my model, these capacitors were C932 and C943. I splurged and replaced both (each cost 22 cents), and my TV is working again like a dream. Hope this helps.

The C926 only applies to a certain range of chassis which your model isn't to my knowledge one of, and it should be noted that its not by any means always the cause of the problem even on ones it does apply to, as all the flashing timer light means is that the power unit has shut down for safety reasons because a fault of a power consuming nature has been detected. This can be caused by various things but usually associated with a faulty IC.
