Various reasons can be responsible for a tape not loading, these ranging from the actual tape itself to the camcorder being in the safeguard mode, the battery supply being too low or even the mechanism having developed a fault, so its quite impossible to remote diagnose without further information, like do you see any error code mentioned on the LCD etc etc.
