JVC AV-48WP30 convergence issues

Brian Stewart Posted Aug 12, 2008

Need to know if this is something that i can fix myself or if i need have it fixed by a repair shop.

Talked with a local tv repair shop and was told that the converters need to be replaced. Would like to know if it something that i could do myself if i had the service manual on the tv. Need help.

Don't do it. I fix 1 to 3 convergence problems a day. Charge $50 extra for repairing customer damaged foil in JVC convergence boards. If I know the customer worked on it, I refuse the call, let em go to local $400 to $700 repair shop. It is a lot more complicated than changing a battery in your remote. If you fix it, email me and I'll hire you. $90/hr convergence consultant. easyab@hotmail.com
