Sony DCR-PC101 getting this C:31:22 error on any tape load.

I have worked with the Sony HDW-F900, and am a technician on a Phantom HD camera, both over $100K each, and have this little Sony PC101 toy.. I started getting this error and didnt mind much, as it was random, then today, i really needed it, so I followed the thread on beating on it, and have denounced it in the past, but sure e-friggin-nough, after tossing it on the ground, (berber carpet with decent padding), but really pounding it on the ground, it back to operational status.. What a fluke.. I'd really like to know what's loose in there, but not worth the effort.. My 2 cents.
