The DX75U is on the JVC list of models with the potential to develop this fault which is caused by defective image sensors having been fitted, however although the FREE repair that was being offered over the past three years has expired it is known that in some areas / countries it is still being done on a "goodwill" basis, so JVC customer services should be contacted in whatever country you reside, your model indicating either Canada or the US.
