DX300 camcorder factory reset

I have a JVC DX300 and unforunately was connected to the wrong voltage (didnt have origional power lead) when going to recharge and of course now wont work. Is there a safety shut off, in which case either is there an internal fuse or a factory reset in order to get it working again. I know this was a silly mistake, Thank you
