JVC Model AV-27850 TV power light comes on and off right away, just a click is heard. I replaced capacitor but do not know if polarity is correct, still does not work

I have a JVC television model AV-27850 and when I hit the power button the red light comes on and then goes off immediatly, just a click is heard. I replaced the capacitor but do not know if the polarity was right because it still does not work. The capacitor has arrows on the one side that point to one end and the other end has the other lead (lead at each end) Please help me with this Jeff
