error 9 is threading motor timeout. Is the threading ring stuck, or is the drive belt broke? error 21 is reel table motor lock. Does this happen with both small and large tapes? check the drive belt. it is located in between the reel motors. It should be visible by removing the top and the cassette in compartment.
