I had the EXACT same thing happen to me! The manufacture date was on the set as February 2004. I bought this set March 10, 2004. Just the other day, the exact symptoms you have described happened. What a disappointment, because I really liked the set. I never moved this set for 4 years! I bought a surge protector, high quality A/V cables, and set that thing on a pedestal. For it to fail so suddenly was ridiculous and extremely frustrating. I shopped at least three stores, checked reviews, compared prices, etc. I feel let down by this JVC brand. Do you think my solder failed as well?
