TV won't turn on!

I have a 3 year old Sony WEGA Trinitron FD model KV-32FS120 that just wouldn't turn on one day. The stand-by light flashed 5 times (red) as long it's plugged in. Won't tun on. I've read in some other web sites that this means it's a defective "A" board--something to do with the power supply. In any case, I'm not buying any more sony TV's. I think I should get more than 3 years out of a $600 TV! I guess that's why stores want to sell those extended warranties--they know the units really aren't going to last. Thanks Sony, I hope all the money you saved by making these TV's in China will offset the losses you have by people not buying any more products.
