Sony TV Trinitron 32 inch blinks on switch on, but get picture.

Sony TV Trinitron 32 inch, Mdodel KV - 32S40, manufactured in 1998, blinks several times on switch on, but get the picture. I bought it about 10 years ago from A& B Sound. Make - Mexico. I do not know what to do. Its cheaper to buy a new Flat Pannel TV then call a repair tech to fix it now. I might think of buying other brand TV instead, this time like Panasonic.
