broken receicever

i have an older pioneer receiver and some of the ports where i plug in the speaker wire do not put out sound.... is this something that i can purchase a replacement part and fix or is there a possible bigger problem that will need professional work?? if this is somehting i can purchase replacement parts for is there an online store i can purchase parts from?
