Hi 8 to DVD

HI8 to DVD - connection
Help!!! Trying to connect a Sony CCD-TRV68 NTSC Hi 8 tape to a DVD burner. The output on the camcorder is of course not a fireconnection but rather a mini plug or S-video.
I've been unsuccessfully trying to find a cable with mini plug to usb or adaptor of some sort. Help>??

Just to add, that you have to obtain a mini A/V cable (camcorder end) to "two" RCA plugs at the other end to connect into the DVD recorders A/V input sockets.
The USB socket you mentioned is only applicable if the camcorder is digital, which of course the model mentioned isn't!

As regards to your Sony to DVD recorder connection problem, its the A/V output socket on your camcorder that you use to connect into a DVD recorder, not "S" video which doesnt have audio on it.
