The warning sign you are getting can really be classed as the worst possible situation "if" its not accompanied with any error code on the LCD, as having no code showing means the problem can be caused by almost anything that upsets the various control sensors making remote diagnosis very difficult. Its a case of if you have a tape inserted can you eject it? if this applies have you tried a different tape? or is it the situation that the camcorder will not respond to any button / switch actions? It should be pointed out that faults of this nature can require a very "two-way" communication, which can only really be done via direct e-mail and not through reply box facilities.
