Hello - My name is Sue and I live in Virginia, US. I have a Sony F717 and I too have a black screen. I have been reading all the messages in regards to the CCD problem and I am hoping, sending you an email, may clarify some things. First, I cannot find my receipt for the camera. Any camera shop I take it too wants to replace all these parts (CCD and Lens) and it would cost a fortune. Second, My camera is 5 years old - would that make a difference? Third - Did you end up paying any amount to get your camera fixed. Should I expect to pay a certain amount for the repair? I truly appreciate any info/advise you can provide me.
