problems with the unit

The problem I have with the Panasonic Sa-HT700 is I will be watching tv or a movie and all of a sudden a loud screacing sound will come from the unit or it will click and the sound will go off. I would have to shut off the unit and turn it back on for it to work. Any suggestions
