TV dead

I have a Sony FD Trinitron WEGA (model KD-27FS170 serial# 4123411) that is less than two years old. Last night it just died. I heard a pop and that was it. TV has no blinking lights, won't turn on and is now effectively a large paperweight. Not sure if I want to bother with repair since I'm super unhappy with Sony right now and I'm not confident that repairing will resolve issues long term.
