My mp4 is not working

My mp4 is always showing that I am adding a new song to it even when I am not.I also cannot add any songs to it because it always says that the directory is corrupted.I also cannot open it in my computer again when I try to,it freezes up my computer and then a message will come on and say that it is not responding.Please help me.
