I have SV2000 tv/dvd combo and I was able to setup a remote using one of those universal remotes. It was one of those huge remotes it was for my kids room but anyway I don't remember how I did it because I lost the remote and the instructions but I just wanted you to know it is possible. Now I have to try and figure out how to do it again with a new universal remote and I'm not having a lot of luck. I hope you figure it out and if you do let me know! Barbara
