I stuck a 1G stick in my Mavica, I have 10 of them of various models. I formatted in my computer to no avail. You can't format in the camera with the error code flashing. Finally I got one of my cameras to accept the stick and formatted it in the camera and all is now well. Floppy disks have the same problem if you format in a computer or have an image on the disk that you have changed in a photo program; the disk has to be formatted in the camera to work.

Addendum to above answer in haste, I'm still getting the error code and finally figured it out. The Mavica cameras can't handle anything above a 128MB memory stick. My other stick is only 28MB and works fine in all my cameras. I don't think they even make one that small anymore. |
