MOISTURE PROBLEM

I live in Los Angeles where I think it is pretty dry and have been getting this error message -- especially when I want to transfer or watch a tape. Out of frustration, I tried Trevor's solution -- take out the battery and hit the bottom of the camera a few times. It worked. I can not believe it. Trevor, you are brilliant!!!!
