Re: JVC service or questions

Valerie Posted Mar 05, 2008, in response to:Stacy Sample

I have a JVC 32 in TV that I bought about 4 years ago. We began having problems with the color close to a year ago. My son (who doesn't live with us) insisted that it was too dark & red skin tones. We were not noticing because we see it everyday. But after that... we did begin to notice.. more & more red. Then more darkness. Later it began flashing completely red on the screen & then I'd turn it off & back on and it would be normal. Anyway... the screen is now COMPLETELY red. The shadow of the programs play behind a red screen. Our local TV repair shop doesn't work on JVC tv's and our tv is only about 4 years old. The sound is good.. no problems there. I've heard of screens going black, but never red. Can you help with that? Do you know what's wrong & is it something WE can fix? If not..is this TV worth trying to find a repair shop? Thank you in advance!!
