Complaints of Sony HVR-VIP HD VIDEO

I would like to complain about your after sales services in HK. In short, please find my bad experiences as below: 19th Dec., 2006 : I chose to buy a SONY HVR-VIP HD VIDEO for my career uses,from Wing Shing Photo Supplies in HK, I bought your brand due to SONY was a brand I felt confident for my works. I am a cameraman for special happy events, for birthdays, weddings and others. My customers of course are looking for good records for their happy memories. From my past experiences, I found SONY’s products were always in good quality and high performance. I had great expectation of my new recorder I bought. Unfortunately, for the 1st 2 times I used, there were stripes and waves up and down, as well as checks on the screen already. Further, the sound systems were also not working well, within 1hr I recorded, there were at least 30 times of 1/2 seconds’ break. And in my another piece of work, there was no sound at all. I had thought may be that’s the tapes I used were not in good conditions, but after I changed some tapes, the effects were the same. 23rd Apr., 2007: I brought it to your maintaining office in HK for checking, but The technicians could not find out any problems, they just suggested me to use some non-colored tapes instead. 18th July, 2007: I brought it to your maintaining office in HK again, that due to the zoom in and out function was uncontrollable. It suddenly zoomed in a flash. 22nd Aug., 2007: The maintaining office replaced another video recorder for me, I tried at home immediately, but the motor was running soundly, I had thought that may be with channel problems, but the noisy sound was also be recorded on my tapes. 23rd August, 2007: The maintaining office withdrew. 30th Aug., 2007: The maintaining office replaced another one to me, that was OK for me up to 31/01/2008. 31st Jan., 2008: I found the sound system was not functioning also for this another one, I sent it to repair, but the result was that they could not find any problems and they said no problems without even open the video recorder. 19th Feb. 2008: I sent that again to the maintaining office due to one set of the lens with the stabilizer coming off, that made 1/5 of the screen became black. Today, 25th Feb., 2008, Mr. Lau (Asst. manager) of HKMC/SED/SESD/B&P said they are only the maintaining dept., they cannot change a new video recorder for me and will not extend the maintenance period for me. (the original one will end up 31/03/2008). It is ridiculous and it is not fair for me, I strongly unsatisfied with your after sales services in HK, it is non-professional and irresponsible. I think it should not be SONY’s normal practice. I am very disappointed in this. For this defect and inferior recorder, also your unqualified maintenance technicians in HK, I went back and froth 9 times to your maintaining office in HK, that wasted my valuable time and caused inconveniences for me. Further, I lost my valuable customers, their important events cannot be nicely recorded, their good memories are now with some demerits.
