sirius radio ready

I purchased a JVC radio that is sirius ready. I went to Crutchfield and purchased the interface and the reader that I need to activate the sirius radio. I called sirius and activated it. I get a dispay on my JVC radio but get no sound from my speakers. The cd player and the regular fm tuner work fine. Any reason that the sound wouldnt work for the sirius?
