Requesting HELP with our JVC Video Camera...

Receiving error message "Unit in safeguard mode. Remove and reattach battery. Error message 06." Also receive error message "Unit in safeguard mode. Remove tape and reinsert." We've tried several times to do as the message indicates but does not fix problem. The camera is probably two years old and has only been used a handful of times.
