My sony trinitron tv stinks..

I purchased a sony trinitron tv. every time i turn on the tv to watch a show, movie, or play a video game, it starts to flash. the screen then blinks black and then back the original screen. It seems as if every sony product i have or all my freinds sony products malfuntion on them. The PS2 a waist of money. Then the PS3 an even bigger waist of money. Come on now. Whats up with the sony products. Is there anything that can be done so i can either get my money back. or hopefully a better tv.
